Big Hit Entertainment has marked its highest profits since establishment in their 2019 financial report.

In 2019, Big Hit made 587.2 billion won in revenue and 98.7 billion won in sales profit. The numbers are a 95% increase in revenue and 24% increase in sales.

There's multiple factors at play to have resulted in this growth: BTS had the best-selling album in Korea in 2019 with Map of the Soul: Persona, TXT debuted to great success, and Big Hit Entertainment acquired Source Music, home to GFriend.

The expansion of BTS' intellectual property has also played a huge part in the company's increased profits: for example, BTS-associated products such as BT21 or their song-branded merchandise sold through Weply. Big Hit anticipates this branch of their business to continue to grow in 2020, commenting: "Through the expansion of our artists’ intellectual property, which combines our professional corporate system with our diverse business models, even greater growth is expected.”

Considering BTS' Map of the Soul: 7  has become the best-selling album of all time in Korea this year already, we can anticipate the profits to continue for Big Hit Entertainment in 2020.
