BOL4 member Woo Ji Yoon has announced she's leaving the group.

The duo's agency Shofar Music confirmed the news on April 2, stating that fellow member Ahn Ji Young will continue performing under the name BOL4 as a solo artist.

In the agency's statement, it said: "Woo Ji Yoon has expressed her desire to wrap up promoting as part of BOL4 due to personal concerns about her future career..." and that after lengthy discussions, the agency and Ahn Ji Young respect her decision.

Woo Ji Yoon wrote a letter to fans in which she said: "Many days I would keep asking myself the same question, "Am I doing what's right? What is it that I really want to do?" It was a process of contemplating seriously about my future career, and it occurred to me that now is an important time for me to take on a new challenge before it's too late".

She also thanked fans and said she will continue to cheer on BOL4 as a fan and friend.

The duo debuted in 2016 with the mini-album Red Ickle and have had huge success in South Korea with their unique style of pop music. Ahn Ji Young is currently preparing an album to release in May, which will be her first solo as BOL4.
