IU's new song featuring BTS' Suga has hit the top of the Australian charts!

The new digital single titled "Eight" was released at 6PM KST (7PM AEST) on Wednesday 6 May and has immediately reached No.1 on Australia's iTunes songs chart. Produced by and featuring BTS' Suga, "Eight" has also hit No.1 on Australia's iTunes K-pop singles chart.

This is the first time IU has charted on the Australian iTunes songs chart. Her previous highest chart position was with her Love Poem EP which reached No.15 a day after release.

"Eight" was also trending overnight on Twitter, with all top five worldwide hashtags relating to the song and its music video. Here's some reactions from fans.
