Jung Joon Young has filed another appeal, following the reduction of his prison sentence on May 12.

In November 2019,  Jung Joon Young was sentenced to six years in prison for violations of the Special Cases Act on Punishment of Sexual Crimes, including secretly recording sexual acts with women and distributing the footage in KakaoTalk chatrooms, and aggravated rape.

On May 12, the sentence was reduced on appeal to five years in prison. He has now lodged an appeal through his lawyers with Seoul's High Court. This now means the case will go to the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, Choi Jong Hoon who was tried in a dual case alongside Jung Joon Young, has not announced whether he will appeal his case again, after his prison sentence was reduced to two years and six months.
