Former FTISLAND member Choi Jong Hoon is appealing his prison sentence for the second time.

The idol was originally handed a five-year prison sentence for charges of aggravated rape, which was then reduced on appeal to two years and six months on May 12.

Choi Jong Hoon has continued to deny the charges and according to the court "lacks sincere self-reflection". However he has reached an agreement with the victim, which resulted in his reduced sentencing.

Choi Jong Hoon has now submitted an appeal for the new prison sentence, which means his case will now be taken to the Supreme Court.

He joins Jung Joon Young in launching a second appeal, as the singer who had his six year prison sentence reduced to five years also announced his second appeal trial on May 14.
