Professional wrestler Hana Kimura has passed away at 22.

The passing of the athlete, who became known in Japan and internationally after appearing in reality show Terrace House, was confirmed on May 23 by her wrestling management company Stardom who wrote:

"Stardom fans,

We are very sorry to report that our Hana Kimura has passed away.

Please be respectful and allow some time for things to process, and keep your thoughts and prayers with her family and friends. 

We appreciate your support during this difficult time".

Hana was subject to severe online bullying via social media, and had recently posted concerning messages online regarding her wellbeing. Her cause of death has not been confirmed.

Terrace House cast members have been mourning her passing with posts on social media.
