Japanese reality tv show Terrace House Tokyo: 2019-2020 has been cancelled in the wake of cast member Hana Kimura's passing.

The show's cancellation was confirmed on May 28 by Fuji Television Network. They have not commented on whether further seasons will be produced in the future.

Terrace House airs in segments throughout the year, as episodes are filmed while it is airing. Unlike other reality shows set in shared houses (for example Big Brother), the cast have access to the internet, and live their lives as they normally would, except for residing in the sharehouse.

A professional wrestler, Hana died by suicide on May 23. The 22-year-old faced severe cyber bullying during her appearance on the show, mainly related to a particular incident with fellow cast member Kai Kobayashi.

Terrace House currently airs globally via Netflix, where it remains available to watch.
