AB6IX leader Youngmin has left the K-pop boy group.

On June 4 he was confirmed to have been caught drink-driving, and that he would suspend activities with the group.  AB6IX's agency Brand New Music has now confirmed he has departed the group.

In their statement, the agency wrote: "After thorough discussion with AB6IX member Im Youngmin, his withdrawal from AB6IX was decided today, respecting his wish to no longer cause harm to the group".

The agency apologised for causing concern to fans with the news, and confirmed that AB6IX will continue as a four-member group.

You can read the full Korean statement on AB6IX's fan cafe. AB6IX will make their comeback with new mini-album VIVID on June 29, after postponing from earlier this month.
