A tenacious and intelligent detective, Tori and her son Will have recently moved back to Bondi after a broken marriage. Haunted by the disappearance of her brother many years ago, Tori’s intrigue into a spate of brutal homicides becomes an obsession, putting the lives of those she holds dear in jeopardy.

Yael Stone is perhaps best known for her role as Lorna Morello in the Netflix original series Orange is the New Black, a true global phenomenon which has been honoured with the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Comedy Ensemble in 2015 and 2016, and nominated for the 2015 Emmy Award for Best Television Drama. Yael’s performance has earned her critical and mass acclaim worldwide.

Yael's work in the theatre continues, with new works created by the experimental theatre company she co-founded with her husband actor Dan Spielman, in New York City. Keep an eye out in the series for an appearance from Dan too, who also has a role in later episodes.

Deep Water will air over two big weeks, premiering Wednesday October 5 at 8.30pm on SBS.
