Impressive and intimidating, with a successful career, Peel will do just about anything to protect his image. Pulling a favour for his old mate Don Lustigman, he gives his daughter Tori (Yael Stone) a job with the Bondi Homicide Detectives. But when she starts to stir up questions about past cases, Peel’s cage is rattled and threatens everything he’s worked for.

Stepping into the role of the hardened chief is William McInnes - one of the most talented and popular actors on the Australian landscape today.

On television, McInnes is perhaps best known for his dramatic roles in programs such as The Shark Net, My Brother Jack, Blue Heelers, Stepfather of the Bride, Seachange, East West 101 and The Time of Our Lives alongside Claudia Karvan.

He’s also known for his theatre work with many lead roles on stage, and as an accomplished author, with eight published books to his name.

Deep Water will air over two big weeks, premiering Wednesday October 5 at 8.30pm on SBS.
