Dear Jenny,

How do you stay looking so radiant in your 60s? I’m half your age and look twice as old. Any beauty tips would be appreciated.

Jenny: Well to start with, Jenny is an indoor person. So if you worship the sun, Jenny can’t help you. Sun, surf, baking on the beach – even twice a week – is very bad, because you’re not looking after your DNA! As for my skincare... I can’t mention the brand on SBS... can I? Okay, I’ve been using Clinique since Benjamin was a toddler. Four layers, every night. I once saw a woman on TV who was sensitive to Clinique and broke out in welts, but I think that’s rare. Nowadays, people can be allergic to anything – peanuts, eggs, whatever.

Also! Only use your second and last finger to apply your moisturiser. These are your weakest fingers, so you don’t apply so much pressure on your skin. Never use any other finger! My Benjamin just rubs up his face up and down angrily. It creates lines... but that’s okay for manliness. A Chinese woman with the goldfish tail lines around her eyes? She will kill herself. Other Chinese, Japanese and Korean women, they’ll put anything on their face. They even use placenta – placenta cream, or just eating the placenta. Would I? No way. I just want to grow old gracefully... by using Clinique. I’ve been doing it for 30 years. But my other secret? My skincare has lots to do with being Asian. Hahaha. I thank my ancestors.
