Episode 1:  Mercenary

Airs Thursday 19 March at 8.30pm on SBS ONE

Ragnar and Lagertha’s fleets depart Kattegat once more for Wessex and this time they bring a group to colonize there. King Ecbert hosts the Norsemen and proposes a deal. Despite the misgivings of some of the other leaders, Ragnar leads his forces into battle once more, but thistime as allies of Wessex. 

Episode 2: The Wanderer

Airs Thursday 19 March at 9.30pm on SBS ONE

Lagertha & Athelstan help to establish the Viking settlement in Wessex. Harbard, a mysterious wanderer, arrives in Kattegat, realizing the forewarned dreams of Aslaug, Siggy and Helga.

Episode 3: Warrior's Fate

Airs Thursday 26 March at 9.30pm on SBS ONE

King Ecbert visits the developing Viking settlement as the first harvest is sown and rebuffs criticism from his leading nobles. The Wessex/Viking forces charge into battle with Mercia. In Kattegat, Harbard arrives in to the Great Hall and his mysterious aura fascinates Aslaug and Helga but Siggy remains suspicious.There are strange and tragic happenings in Kattegat and Siggy suspects Harbard is the cause.

Episode 4: Scarred

Airs Thursday 2 April at 9.30pm on SBS ONE

The victorious Wessex/Viking forces return to Wessex but there is rancour in the Viking camp–Floki is angry over the alliance with Ecbert and resentful the influence that he feels Athelstan has over Ragnar. Princess Kwenthrith makes some calculating political moves following the battle at the Hill of the Ash in Mercia. Visitors from the past arrive in Hederby, at Kalf's invitation.


Episode 5:  The Usurper

Airs Thursday 9 April at 9.30pm on SBS ONE

The fleet returns to Kattegat to find tragic circumstances await them. Lagertha learns that her Earldom has been usurped and convinces Ragnar to travel to Hederby with her in an effort to reclaim her title.  Ragnar causes great surprise when he announces the next raid. The Seer has interesting prophecies for Rollo.


Episode 6:  Born Again

Airs Thursday 16 April at 9.30pm on SBS ONE

Preparations for the Paris raid pick up pace, while Rollo ponders the Seer’s prophecy about his destiny. Ragnar is informed of Aethelwulf’s massacre at the settlement in Wessex, and Kalf arrives in Kattegat with some new allies and some familiar faces. Porunn and Judith both deliver children; but with new life there is also death.


Episode 7:  Paris

Airs Thursday 23 April at 9.30pm on SBS ONE

The appearance of the Viking fleet causes panic among the population of Paris. The defence of Paris is in the hands of its Commander, Count Odo, who is confident that the city is prepared for the attack. The Emperor Charles, urged by his daughter Gisla, announces in Court he will remain in the city.  The Vikings establish camp downriver from the city and plan their attack.



Episode 8:  To the Gates!

Airs Thursday 30 April at 9.30pm on SBS ONE

The Viking army embarks and Paris goes into lockdown as the army prepares the defence, overseen by Count Odo.  The Vikings are determined to make it through the gates of Paris and conquer the city; they will stop at nothing to succeed.



Episode 9:  Breaking Point


Airs Thursday 7 May at 9.30pm on SBS ONE

The Vikings go all out for a second assault on Paris. Recognizing the desperate state of affairs for his city, Emperor Charles must make a difficult decision.  In Wessex, Judith is compelled to make a difficult decision of her own.



Episode 10: The Dead


Airs Thursday 14 May at 9.30pm on SBS ONE

Rollo’s destiny is recognized and Bjorn steps up as a leader. With one last chance to take Paris, Ragnar and his Vikings troops take a daring chance. 

The new series of Vikings continues Wednesdays at 9:30pm (AEDT) on SBS.
