Several months ago, season five of Vikings abruptly stopped right in the middle of a 20 episode run. Apparently, there are real people working on this show and they aren’t able to produce the program all day every day all year round.

But they’ve sorted out whatever they needed to and now the show is coming back – exclusively - to SBS.

Why? Because Vikings cares about you, the fans (which is more than we can say for people who watch Game of Thrones – when is that show coming back? 2022? Good luck).

If you need a quick refresher on the first half of season five, you can find one here. Otherwise, this is the information you should have:

How do I watch?

Vikings season five part two will begin on SBS with a double episode on Thursday 6 December at 8:30pm.

From then, episodes three and four on the 13th and 20th respectively will air on Thursdays at 8:30pm, fast-tracked from the US. After that, new episodes will air on Thursdays at 9:30pm, also fast-tracked from the US.

After they air, all episodes will be available to stream at SBS On Demand.

How do I catch up?

Starting tonight, SBS is re-airing part one of season five late night Thursdays at 12am.

You are also going to want to refresh our Vikings homepage every five to ten minutes for other updates, interviews, videos and recaps.

Is there a trailer for the new season?
