Myruan Sukumaran said his final goodbye to his friend Ivar Schou in March when he was transferred to the island of the executions. In April they exchanged letters. Ivar says that at least he knows Sukumaran read his letter.

Ivar Schou met Myuran Sukumaran in 2011 when he visited Kerobokan prison. He is a filosofer, and ran a school for Norwegian students in Bali where he lived from 2004 to 2014.

He developed a deep friendship with Myuran. Together they developed a lecture series about ethics and philosophy which was held in Kerobokan prison.

Ivar Schou also engaged the students at his school which hosted an annual art auction with art from the prisoners at Kerobokan, all in collaboration with Myuran.

He is now hoping to be able to continue Myuran's art and rehabilitation projects in Indonesian prisons.
