Both government departments control regulations are followed by national and international companies.

Minister Cordova Unda explained the Ecuadorian government is now directly involved in the management of community discussions related to new investments to guarantee a better dialogue between the parts.

A percentage of the roylaties needs to be invested in areas of influence of the project, in areas that can be described as "social development".
