According to the new figures, one child is suffering from child abuse or neglect every 13 minutes.

The research revealed that children under 12 months old were the most likely to suffer abuse and neglect.

These experiences at a young age have long-term effects on children even during their adult life.

During 2015 Child Protection Week (6th - 12th September), SBS Filipino speaks with Dr. Neil Carrington, CEO of Act for Kids, about these figures and what can be done to prevent and treat child abuses.
