Some facts:

  • Kurdistan Region of Iraq shares 1,050 Km border with the self proclaimed organisation "Islamic State".
  • Iraqi central government hasn't shared the federal budget shares with the region.
  • The central government does not send any foreign military aid to the Kurdish Peshmerga forces that are fighting the self proclaimed "Islamic State".
  • 1.8 million Syrian refugees and Iraqi IDP have fled to the Kurdistan region to seek refuge. This has increased the population of the region by 30%.
