Has there ever been more years between a debut and a sophomore album than The Avalanches 'Since I Left You' (2000) and Wildflower (2016)? Probably...but I'm sure it's pretty rare.

Anyway, scouring the social media grapevine a nice little morsel of gossip was found that could indicate that the  lads are working on album number 3!

The truth lies behind the rock-solid walls of instagram, where the group shared an image of boxes of records with the caption 'LP#3 - Day 1'.

Now history should warn us not to get too excited, remember this is just "Day 1". If album number three takes as long as album number two then we still may have another 5,800 odd days to wait...

Godspeed boys, godspeed!
