"Spalding Quibble ruled the roost.
He shared it with no other.
But then his parents introduced a brand new baby brother..."
SBS Radio have partnered with the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) to bring the magic of story time to more Australian’s than ever before, through National Simultaneous Storytime.
National Simultaneous Storytime is an annual initiative aimed at encouraging children to discover the joy of reading, and will see more than 450,000 children in 3000 schools and libraries across Australia, sit down to share a story together; on the same day, at the same time.

To support the initiative, SBS have created audio books of Aaron Blabey’s ‘The Brothers Quibble’ (Penguin Australia) in 16 languages other than English, including the Indigenous Woiwurrung language spoken by the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation, Central Victoria
SBS Managing Director, Michael Ebeid said: “This is a fantastic initiative that celebrates diversity and encourages cultural awareness in our youngest Australians, going to the heart of what we have been doing at SBS for the past 40 years.
“As the world’s most multicultural and multilingual broadcaster – and with NITV as part of our network – there is no media organisation in Australia better placed than SBS to assist ALIA in reaching out to some of the more than four million Australians who speak a language other than English at home, helping bring National Simultaneous Storytime to more people than ever before”.
National Simultaneous Storytime takes place across Australia at 11am on 27 May 2015
