Reading the Signs

Reading the Signs

After months at the outstation, Sam takes a rehabilitated Billy back home to Louise – the first tentative steps in putting his family back together. Drew and Bella are now in a full relationship, although he still refuses to open up about the problems with his extended family.

Ellie has Leonie home from hospital, but is now concerned about Ray’s health, while a bitter and still grieving Archie is using his newspaper to stir up trouble for Peter. Court doesn’t run smoothly at Jalwarra (The Mish) as the rival families continue to fight unabated in the power vacuum left by the exiled elder, Harry Pope.

However, at least Peter’s “experiment” in the Newtown court is starting to show some results, and Bella finally convinces Drew to give his family another go. Despite continued hostility from his Uncle, Drew is invited to join the family land claim. The Junction is still gripped by gang violence, and Peter’s decisions in Court have dramatic consequences outside, as a major riot begins. The whole town erupts and one of the circuit team is arrested.
