Of Mice and Men

Of Mice and Men

The tenure of hard line Magistrate, Terri, comes to an end, but not before Jason has his day in court, and another case reveals the tragic consequences of her take on justice. She departs unbowed, and delivers a few home truths to the ALS team. Sam’s past is now common knowledge and Billy seems to be using it as an excuse to go off the rails again. Bella discovers Peter has been helping the child abuser, Harry Pope.

While Peter’s now back in the Magistrate’s chair, his standing is under threat, particularly at Jalwarra court where the elders are refusing to sit, and the community openly hostile. Bella’s anger spills over into her relationship with Drew, and it’s all too much for him when he is forced to defend a cousin on rape charges.

However, a confrontation with Mick results in a surprising invitation. Sam has a proposal for Louise, as he continues to try and make restitution for his past, but Peter’s efforts to rehabilitate Harry are less successful. Drew and Bella reach a cross-road.

Written by Wayne Blair and directed by James Bogle.
