A new single called "Hands" has been released in tribute to the 49 victims of the gun massacre that occurred at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida on June 12.
Featuring Britney Spears, Selena Gomez, Troye Sivan and a ton of other incredible artists, "Hands" is written by Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels, and produced by BloodPop, Mark Ronson and Justin Tranter.
Released by Interscope and GLAAD, proceeds of the charity single will go to Equality Florida Pulse Victims Fund, the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida and GLAAD.
In a press release for the song, Tranter said: “The second I heard about this horrible tragedy where so many of my LGBTQ brothers and sisters lost their lives, I immediately got on a plane to Orlando to volunteer my help anyway I could. Putting this charity single together is just a way for me, and everyone involved to keep volunteering our help and promote peace and love in the world.”
The single, which is now available on iTunes, also features Mary J Blige, Jason Derulo, Tyler Glenn, Halsey, Ty Herndon, Imagine Dragons, Juanes, Adam Lambert, Mary Lambert, Jennifer Lopez, Kacey Musgraves, MNEK, Alex Newell, P!nk, Prince Royce, Nate Ruess, RuPaul, Jussie Smollett and Meghan Trainor, and well as the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles.
