Earlier this year, actress Emma Thompson set the standard for #friendshipgoals when she was photographed skipping down the street, day drinking and laughing with comedian Hannah Gadsby.
Now, it seems, she's raised the bar once more.
According to Vanity Fair, Thompson grew incredibly close with her Last Christmas co-star Emilia Clarke (they play mother and daughter in the film), with the pair even living together for the majority of the shoot.
It turns out that Clarke was renovating her home at the time of production - and Thompson insisted that, instead of sleeping in a construction site, she stay with her.
“She was like, Darling, this is f*cking ridiculous. Come and stay with me,” Clarke told Vanity Fair.
“So I did. I lived in a flat that Emma had [down the road] from her house for a lot of the filming. She used to make me dinner every night…. We would just have a martini, digest the day, and then maybe watch a little something or read the paper. Then I’d go home and the next day we’d drive in together.”
Um, does this whole setup not sound like the best ever sitcom?
Clarke also sung Thompson's praises in an interview with Vogue magazine, describing the experience of working together as "extraordinary".
"I’ve admired and loved Emma from afar for my entire life, and getting to play her daughter and to now be her friend is just the most miraculous Christmas gift I could ever ask for," she gushed.
"She became a mentor of mine and I’m incredibly grateful that she’s in my life."
So, uh, where can we submit our applications to be Emma Thompson's next bestie?
