Donald Trump told people to "ask the gays" whether he is an LGBT+ friendly candidate. LGBT+ Twitter responded, and, spoilers: They don't think so.

In the wake of the gun massacre at LGBTQIA+ nightclub Pulse in Orlando, Florida, Republican Presidential hopeful Donald Trump has been pledging his support to the LGBT+ community in the most Trump-like fashion, calling himself a "real friend" to the community.

During a speech he gave at a rally last night, Trump took his rhetoric up a notch, telling his supporters to "ask the gays" whether he'd make an LGBT+ friendly president.

“Ask the gays what they think and what they do in not only Saudi Arabia, but many of these countries, and then you tell me who’s your friend: Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton?” he says.

In a display of both "ask and you shall receive" and "be careful what you wish for", 'the gays' took to Twitter to respond:
