Nickelodeon is making history this week as viewers will meet the cartoon network's first gay couple on kids' show The Loud House, and unlike Finding Dory, there's no ambiguity to be found here.

Will 'Finding Dory' feature Pixar's first same-sex parents?
The new trailer for the animated sequel hints that the film features Pixar's first lesbian couple.

The show follows Lincoln, an 11-year-old boy who has not one, not two, but 10 sisters. This Wednesday's episode sees Lincoln invite his friend Clyde McBride over.

Clyde's parents drop him off for the sleepover, stressing over their son's various medical conditions - Clyde apparently requires allergy medication and an inhaler, as well as a humidifer and a dehumidifier (???) - as well as his dietary requirements: "no nuts, no gluten, no sugar and be careful with orange juice.

"You know how you get with pulp,” finishes one of Clyde's dads.

A cartoon targeting children features a mother and daughter discussing another girl's same-sex parents and whether they'll be accepted into heaven.

Basically? They're the cartoon version of every worried, overprotective parent dropping their kid off for a sleepover, and it's 100 per cent not about the fact that ~reveal~ Clyde's parents are gay.
