Transgender YouTube sensation Gigi Gorgeous is the subject of a new documentary called Gigi Gorgeous: This Is Everything.

Following Gigi's life from childhood, to the beginning of her career as a beauty blogger on YouTube, through her transition and right up to last year - when she was detained at the Dubai airport for being transgender - the film features interviews with Gigi and her family, and shows her rise to fame on YouTube.

The doco is set to be released on YouTube Red in February, following the film's worldwide premiere at Sundance Film Festival.

Gigi first started her YouTube channel in 2008, and has amassed more than 2.1 million YouTube subscribers and over 7.1 million combined platform followers. She tells Variety that she's "so excited to finally share this passion project" with all her supporters.

“It is a side of myself that I have kept very close to my heart and am so blessed to have found a team that is just as passionate about this film as I am," she says. "I hope by sharing my story others will walk away from this film with a stronger sense of understanding and acceptance.”
