R&B singer-songwriter Deborah Cox has been announced as one of the performers at this year's Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras party.

Best-known for R&B pop anthem "Nobody's Supposed to Be Here" and dance track “Absolutely Not”, Cox last performed at Mardi Gras back in 2002. She'll take to the RHI main stage with an exclusive Mardi Gras production show featuring a medley of her hit songs.

Other performers in the Mardi Gras party line-up include Eurovision song contest winner Conchita Wurst and RuPaul’s Drag Race finalist Courtney Act.

The party on March 5 follows the official Mardi Gras parade down Oxford Street, which will be broadcast on SBS the following evening and live-streamed around the world on the night at sbs.com.au/mardigras
