A new toy ad is drawing plenty of praise online for breaking down traditional gender stereotypes.
The 40-second "If I Were A Toy" commercial from Smyths Toys Superstores in the UK features a young boy musing about life as a toy, imagining himself as “the queen of the land,” among other things.
Singing to the tune of Beyoncé’s “If I Were A Boy”, the child starts off as a rocket launching into space before he jumps into a royal gown and then into Star Wars’ Millennium Falcon.
Reactions to the ad have been overwhelmingly positive, with many social media users dropping the brand kudos on their Facebook page.
And on Twitter, the reactions have been just as positive, with customers praising the store for its message.
