LGBTQ+ celebrities have been celebrating and congratulating Australia on this morning's 'Yes' result in the same-sex marriage postal survey.

Australia's LGBTQ+ community has already begun celebrations, and queer celebrities from all over the world are also joining in on congratulating us on our 'Yes' result in the same-sex marriage postal survey.Β 

People including Ian Thorpe, Ellen DeGeneres and Darren Hayes published emotional social media posts, expressing their happiness that Australia had overcome its first major hurdle in the battle for marriage equality.Β
