The final day of the 2021 US Open saw Australian Dylan Alcott become the first man ever to win a tennis golden slam in the wheelchair quad singles, while Russian Daniil Medvedev won his first grand slam title with a straight sets victory over Novak Djokovic in the men's singles.

Teenager Niels Vink brought the fight to Alcott in what was a very close first set, before the Aussie pulled away in the second set to seal a historic victory.

In an anticipated blockbuster between the top seeded Serbian and second seed Russian, it was Medvedev who started the strongest and never looked back from there.
