This year's Champions League is one of the most exciting in recent memory as FA Women's Super League powerhouse Chelsea face off against Spanish giants Barcelona at Gamla Ullevi in the Swedish city of Gothenburg.

There will be a new name on the trophy with Lyon's five-year reign as Champions coming to an end after they were bundled out in the quarter-finals.

Matildas captain and superstar striker Sam Kerr will lead the line for Chelsea as they play in their first-ever Women's Champions League final.

Matildas superstar Sam Kerr has helped Chelsea book their ticket to the UEFA Women's Champions League final with an incredible second-leg comeback against Bayern Munich to give the blues a 4-1 win and a 5-3 aggregate victory.

It will be Barcelona's second Champions League final, after losing 4-1 to Lyon in Budapest in 2019.

The winning team will not only make history by taking out the title for the first time, but they will also be the first club to have won both the women's and men's Champions League. 

Both teams have had difficult journey's to reach the final with Chelsea defeating Bayern Munich 5-3 on aggregate, while Barcelona edged PSG 3-2 across over two legs.

The strike partnership of Fran Kirby and Kerr will be key to Chelsea's chances with the pair combining for seven goals in the tournament so far.

Barcelona will be relying on leading goal scorer Jennifer Hermoso and Dutch superstar Lieke Maartens to help them to victory.
