Khoudia Diop is 19 years old and quickly becoming a social media star. She began modelling two years ago and has been building a stunning portfolio of work – and a burgeoning Instagram following since.

Having been bullied for her appearance as a child, Khoudia is now spreading the message that every skin tone is beautiful.

“I was teased a lot growing up, because of my skin tone,” she told the Daily Mail, “and now even online sometimes, people will make comments”.

“The message I have for my sisters is that how you look doesn't matter as long as you feel beautiful inside.”

Khoudia now goes by the Instagram handle “Melanin Goddess” to reflect the beauty of her dark complexion, and wants to encourage her 250 thousand fans to laugh at beauty standards that tell women how they should look.

The model’s family is from Senegal and she now lives in Paris.
