Following President-elect Donald Trump’s shock win last night, American documentary filmmaker Michael Moore has shared what he believes America needs to now do in the wake of the election results.

Moore took to Facebook and Twitter to share his “Morning After To-Do List”, which prescribes five key points Americans should action following the Republican presidential win.

The list has garnered over 222,000 reactions and over 120,000 shares on Facebook. His tweets have collected nearly 20,000 retweets collectively, making the to-do list one of the most viral social media posts to come out of this election.

“Everyone must stop saying they are ‘stunned’ and ‘shocked’. What you mean to say is that you were in a bubble and weren't paying attention to your fellow Americans and their despair,” writes Moore on Facebook.

“YEARS of being neglected by both parties, the anger and the need for revenge against the system only grew.”

Moore predicted a Trump presidency in July, when he published this blog post. The post outlines five reasons Donald Trump was sure to win the US general election.
