Voters unhappy with the US election's outcome are setting their sights for a better result next time round.

In the wake of Donald Trump’s shock election win, many distressed Clinton supporters have called for First Lady Michelle Obama to run for the top job at the next US election in 2020.

Michelle Obama is a Harvard-educated lawyer and a political advocate in her own right.

She has also been a very popular force throughout her husband’s term in office, garnering the support of citizen at home and across the globe through her heartfelt speeches, her vehement campaigning for girls’ education and youth obesity, as well as her charismatic appearance on talk shows.

Many have also called for American rapper Kanye West to run for office next term.

The rapper announced his intentions to run for president in 2020 whilst accepting an MTV Video Music Award last year.

At the time, many viewers chalked up the rapper’s comments to sensational rhetoric. But last night, a bid for #Kanye2020 resurfaced on social media. 

Only time will tell which way American democracy will go four years from now.
