10 year old actress, Julia Butters has revealed that she packed her own dinner to bring to the Oscars. While walking the red carpet before the event, Butters was asked what was in her bag. Dramatically opening her bag to reveal the supplies, Butters told reporters, “You will never believe it, a sandwich.”

Asked why she turned up to the biggest awards ceremony in film with a sandwich, she admitted, “Well sometimes the food here is just not for me.”

She also revealed that she and her Mum “collabbed” on making the turkey sandwich. Butters apologised for flouting the mostly plant based menu at this year’s ceremony saying, “I’m sorry for the vegans, I’m sorry.”

Audiences are loving Butters’ honesty about her meal plans for the night. One user said, “I’ve never heard of Julia Butters before today, but I fully support her AND her turkey sandwich.” Another said, “Julia Butters bringing food to the Oscars is a mood.” And one even claimed that Butters was her “soul sister.”

But it’s certainly not the first time a child has turned up to a major awards ceremony with snacks. In 2018, Beyonce broke the internet when she was photographed holding snacks at a juice box for her daughter, Blue Ivy at the Grammys.

Surely the real surprise is that only the children are smart enough to come supplied with snacks for a major awards night.

So it looks like we’ll be taking our cues from the kids and packing snacks next time we’re going out.
