People are getting creative with their time alone at home using the hashtag #quarantinelife to share memes and videos of all the ways they are passing the time.

The fun memes and videos have been a way to relieve the stress of social isolation and home quarantine enforced to curb the the spread of COVID-19.

In Italy, neighbours have shared a video of the pair playing an almost-outdoor game ping pong through open windows (we are not sure who is allocated the task of collecting the ball).

A good opportunity to work on that selfie-game.

Some social media users have channelled their inner toddler, getting creative with pots and pans.

Quality time with pets has been a theme, noughts and crosses with the cat anyone?

How about a musical house dance party?

And as the normal rhythms of life are disrupted, we have more music, sweet music.

As of Tuesday afternoon, only people who have recently travelled from overseas or have been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case and experienced symptoms within 14 days are advised to be tested.

If you believe you may have contracted the virus, call your doctor, don’t visit, or contact the national Coronavirus Health Information Hotline on 1800 020 080.

If you are struggling to breathe or experiencing a medical emergency, call 000.
