Since 2007, women's football has been spoken about as the fastest growing sport for girls. In 2015 football finally fulfilled its promise and became the number 1 sport for girls.

That was evident every weekend in winter where hundreds and thousands of girls laced up their boots, pulled on their gloves and jerseys and enjoyed 90 minutes with their best friends.  

A new documentary "When the levee breaks" is looking to chronicle this rise and re-define the female footballer of the future.
