The Hockeyroos scored a late equaliser to draw 2-2 with Great Britain in the fourth match of the six-game series in Perth.

Emily Smith's skilful strike helped the Hockeyroos grab a late 2-2 equaliser against Great Britain in the fourth match of the six-game series ion Perth on Thursday night.

It was the second successive draw between the sides who have won a game apiece with Georgia Nanscawen also on target for the hosts, with the fifth match to take place in Perth on Saturday.

Coach Adam Commens was pleased with the character shown by his young players as he continues planning for the Rio Olympics later in the year.

"With a lot of youngsters out on the pitch, we saw a performance that had a lot of positives tonight," Commens said.

"Right now, we're not showing all of our penalty corners, which means our success rate is low. I'm confident that as we narrow down towards Rio these things will start to come together.

"We're all about learning and becoming a better team, and that's why we play a team like Great Britain, to have these matches which are physical, hard-fought and challenging."
