Paola Micieli, AKA Paola Dalai, is now in Sydney and visited our studios to talk about her Australian experience and her music.

Paola is the singer and bass player of Milan-based band Smoke Circus, a duo she formed with Tommaso Ferrarese - AKA Tomhazy - who is in charge of guitars and Electronics.

Paola's journey started in the Southern Italian region of Calabria, where she was born. She moved to Pisa in Tuscany to study at the local university before moving to India.

In Mumbai Paola got in contact with the local music scene and together with an Indian musician she started touring the country while developing her knowledge of modern Indian music. Alongside English and Italian she can perform in Hindi as well.

After her experience in India, Paola also spent some time in New York, before moving to Milan. There she founded Smoke Circus, which she defines as a truly independent project, where band members look after music writing, composition and audio and video production.
