Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy (rah-hoy) is asking Catalans to turn out in force in the upcoming elections in Catalonia. He's visiting Barcelona for the first time since the Spanish government imposed direct rule on the region. But calls for the region's independence from Spain continue, as demonstrators march on the streets of Brussels, in Brussels in Belgium, the de facto capital of the European Union.
