The Midwest native began her career on stage performing a comedy act with creative partner Peter Tolan that was eventually turned into an off-Broadway show in New York City. As an actress, Wallem has also provided voices for the animated series "Rocko's Modern Life," and has been a guest performer on shows she has written for, including "Cybill" and "That '70s Show."
