Leading Polish actor of the 1950s through 80s, in films by directors including Andrzej Wajda, Jerzy Skolimowski and, latterly, Krzysztof Kieslowski. Lomnicki also starred in a Warsaw stage production of "Inadmissible Evidence" directed by Lindsay Anderson in the mid-60s.
