Adam Goodes: A Good Man Stands Up - Adnyamathanha man Adam Goodes joins Stan Grant in the Awaken studio to talk about his successful career, being named as Australian of the Year and racism in sport. Adam holds an elite place in AFL history, winning two Brownlow Medals and two premierships, he is also a four-time All-Australian, member of the Indigenous Team of the Century, and has represented Australia in the International Rules Series. A proud Indigenous-man, Adam is involved with a number of Indigenous sport and community initiatives and is a great role model and advocate for the fight against racism both on and off the field. He speaks in-depth to Stan Grant about his career highlights and low moments, including the moment he was singled out because of his colour and also discusses his work off the field helping and inspiring Indigenous communities through the Go Foundation, which focuses on promoting education, employment and healthy lifestyles.
