Statement from SBS Managing Director Michael Ebeid on ABC & SBS Efficiency Study

SBS welcomes any opportunity to
demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations and looks
forward to participating in this study.

The study announced by
the Minister is but the most recent opportunity for SBS to prove its
efficiency and follows the Government sponsored funding adequacy review
 of SBS two years ago, which led to significant funding increases in
2012 and 2013 after 10 years of chronic underfunding.

The study will deliver a report to the SBS Board in April and we look forward to considering any recommendations.
