Australia’s Dami Im through to the Grand Final of Eurovision Song Contest

Australia’s Dami Im has been voted through to the Eurovision Grand Final.
Dami performed her song ‘ËSound of Silence’ on the Eurovision stage overnight in Stockholm, wowing the crowd in the arena, the worldwide viewing audience, and the voting juries in each country.
Dami Im said:
“It was such an adrenaline rush to perform on the Eurovision stage tonight. I could feel the crowd in the arena behind me and I really gave my performance everything I had. I’m so happy that the voting juries and viewers at home connected with ‘ËSound of Silence’ – at the end of the day that’s what I really wanted.
“The support here from fans in Stockholm and everyone back in Australia, especially my Dami Army, has been incredible. I hope I do Australia proud in the Grand Final.”
Only ten artists from the eighteen countries performing in Semi Final 2 proceed to the Grand Final. The ten countries voted through are: Australia, Latvia, Georgia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Serbia, Poland, Israel, Lithuania and Belgium.
They will join the 10 countries already voted through from Semi Final 1, along with the Big Five ‘â Spain, UK, France, Italy, Germany and hosts Sweden, to compete in the Grand Final for the title of Eurovision 2016 winner.
The Eurovision Grand Final is broadcast LIVE from 5am Sunday 15 May on SBS. Australians need to tune into this broadcast to cast their vote at the same time as European audiences. To vote they will need to text or call the numbers that appear on screen during these live broadcasts.
SBS’s primetime Grand Final broadcast is 7.30pm Sunday 15 May on SBS, with backstage interviews, behind the scenes action, and tweets and party pictures on screen using the hashtag #sbseurovision.
