New SBS program Small Business Secrets- Australian businesses overcoming the odds and finding success
Hosted by Ricardo Goncalves each week from Sunday 31 July on SBS
Small Business Secrets is a new weekly SBS program shining a light on the small business owners and innovators playing a vital role in Australia’s economic growth.
Hosted by SBS Finance Editor and World News presenter Ricardo Goncalves and produced by former ABC News and Business Today presenter Whitney Fitzsimmons, the program uses case studies to offer tips and insights into the roller-coaster of conceiving and running a small business in Australia.
Small to medium enterprises make up 97% of Australian businesses, and small business owners — many who come from diverse multicultural backgrounds — were a major target of the recent election campaigns. Small Business Secrets speaks directly to the real people and businesses the politicians have tried to reach.
Each week, it will feature a mix of established businesses offering the secrets to their success, those who have weathered financial storms, and those just starting out. In the process it will reveal how small businesses are fuelling Australia’s economy and show how you can turn your business idea into reality.
Small Business Secrets will also be complemented by a new website with tips, clips and articles on developments in the small business world, as well as an interactive ‘Small Business Toolbox’ to help you make the most of your developing business. The program will also use social media to distribute business news and tips in innovative ways.
Small Business Secrets will air at 5pm Sundays on SBS starting Sunday July 31.
