Statement from SBS regarding Deputy Chair and Board appointment

The SBS Board and Executive have today welcomed the appointment of current Board member Christine Zeitz as Deputy Chair, and Vic Alhadeff as a Non-executive Director of the SBS Board, as announced today by the Minister for Communications, Urban Infrastructure, Cities and the Arts, The Hon Paul Fletcher MP. 

Ms Zeitz has served as a non-Executive Director of the SBS Board since 2018. She is a defence, security and ICT specialist with more than 30 years’ experience in directing and delivering world-class solutions and services to defence, intelligence, civil and commercial customers, both in Australia and globally. 

Mr Alhadeff is a highly regarded community leader who has served as a Chair of Multicultural NSW and CEO of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a journalist by background, formerly Chief Sub-editor of the Cape Times. 

Mr Alhadeff joins the SBS Board of Directors consisting of Chair George Savvides AM, Deputy Chair Christine Zeitz, Non-executive Directors Dorothy West, Peeyush Gupta AM, William Lenehan, Prof. Sally Walker AM, Nyunggai Warren Mundine AO and SBS Managing Director James Taylor.
