Angela Burgess

Angela Burgess oversees production finance across SBS’s television and online content, leading budget management, team operations and sustainability initiatives for both commissioned and in-house productions. Her remit spans the financial oversight of the SBS Originals content slate, supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring productions are delivered efficiently and in line with SBS’s creative and commercial objectives.

Before joining SBS, Angela built a career spanning more than twenty years in television production and broadcasting across Australia and the United Kingdom. She has held senior production finance roles within major networks and production companies, bringing deep expertise in managing complex production slates and aligning creative ambition with financial responsibility.

At SBS, Angela plays a key role in ensuring content is produced efficiently, responsibly and in line with SBS’s Charter commitment to reflect Australia’s diversity.
