Hingor Chung

Hingor Chung is a dedicated secondary school educator with over 40 years of experience teaching Chinese, Indonesian, and Japanese. Her work emphasizes intercultural understanding and global competency, and she has been an active collaborator across school communities and cultural organizations throughout her career.

She leads initiatives that celebrate Asian literacy, heritage storytelling, and inclusive engagement—bringing language and culture to life in ways that foster understanding and connection. Hingor has led local and overseas excursions, mentored early-career teachers, and contributed to community forums and education programs. From 1988 to 1990, she was a presenter and content consultant for ABC TV’s Asia Wise, a program supporting classroom learning about Asia.

Her career reflects a steadfast commitment to mentoring educators, leading community grants projects, and cultivating lasting impact across generations. She is known for transforming big-picture visions into meaningful experiences—with depth, humour, and cultural insight.
