Katrina Rathie

Appointed to the SBS Board on 31 March 2022, Katrina Rathie is a business leader and lawyer with broad experience in corporate governance and the media sector. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, member of Chief Executive Women, Chair of Bubs Australia, NSW Patron of the Asian Australian Lawyers Association, member of the Advisory Board for Media Diversity Australia, Non-Executive Director of Asia Society Australia, and a former Director of Starlight Children’s Foundation Australia.

She was named Chair of the Year – Small Company at the AFR BOSS Director Awards in 2025, as well as Overall Winner of the AFR 100 Women of Influence list in the Board & Management category in 2019 for her contribution to the law and gender and cultural diversity.

Katrina was Partner in Charge, Sydney at top tier global law firm King & Wood Mallesons (2014-2021), where she was an equity partner for 25 years, and Sector Leader of the Media and Entertainment Practice. She has been a trusted legal advisor to television/streaming networks, media organisations, global advertisers and creators of content, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Financial Management)/Laws from UNSW Sydney.

Katrina is the Chair of the Codes Review Committee.
